Adjustment of Status

If you are facing deportation, you still may be able to file for Adjustment of Status in front of a judge. Adjustment of Status is one of the processes for receiving Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) status or a green card.

Factors that may determine if you are eligible to file for adjustment of status are:

  • Relationship with Petition
  • Immigration status of Petitioner
  • Age of Beneficiary
  • Nationality
  • Amount of Time in the United States
  • When the petition was filed

In order to fight your deportation and remain in the United States, a green card may still be an option. You may be able to apply for adjustment of status in front of the judge, or even file with immigration while fighting your deportation in court.  It is highly recommended that you seek the advise of an experienced immigration attorney. Our firm has the experience to help you apply your green card. Contact Dorsett Immigration Law now for your free consultation.
